Happy Advent

The word Advent comes from the Latin adventus, which means "coming." In the Roman Catholic Church, it is the name of the four week season which begins with the first evening prayer of the Sunday which is closest to or November 30 (Feast Day of St. Andrew) and ends with the first evening prayer on Christmas Day. The meaning of this season is both to commemorate the Incarnation of Jesus and to celebrate the eventual Second Coming.
The Advent wreath is a circle holding four candles. Generally the color of all four candles is purple (although it is an increasing practice for the third candle to be pink or rose). These candles are lit in a special sequence during worship services on the four Sundays of Advent. A candle is lighted on the first Sunday of Advent, and on each successive Sunday an additional candle is lit. In recent years it has become customary to have a larger white candle in the center of the Advent wreath. This is often called the "Christ candle" and is lit at the Christmas Eve services and on Christmas Day.
However you and your family celebrate, our family is wishing you a wonderful holiday season! God Bless!

Happy Advent Lee, the rose is in the give away picture just below the sachet next to the angel. I think you can also see them on the picture taken of my fair there are two in the bottom left corner, also in my suitcase picture taken before the fair they are on a waxed heart with soft velvet leaves in the right of the picture you need to click on the picture to blow them up. Unlike your beautiful roses (hope to get them soon)mine are not really to be worn, they are too large and are made from script paper, wax and glitter, they are more dressing table wear
I want to wear yours!! I don't believe in copying stuff so when I saw your beautiful idea, rather than adapt mine I would much rather buy your beautiful ones, it is far more of a treat.
Have a lovely Advent week
Hugs Lynn xx
