I Have Friends in Lots of Places

Julie of Prairie Thistle Life has proven to be a wonderful, online, blogging friend. I "found" her after being paired together for a swap. Little did I know how wonderful a woman she is, and how I would come to cherish her emails, comments and blog.

isn't she cute?

Julie has had her own private stresses this year- nothing compared to mine, and yet she has given me the time and energy by providing much needed guidance and advice in her emails and comments. Julie has moved before, and she really understands where I'm coming from (Tammy too). And in a time when I feel like people around me aren't quite getting my feelings, both women have provided me with words of wisdom and support.

Girls Weekend 2009

Likewise, my best friend Tammy has been struggling recently, and Julie has proved to be a friend to her too. One really can't ask for more than that! I hope someday to meet Julie in person. Between Girls Weekend at Tammy's, and hopefully and art retreat at my Maine home this year, I am sure our paths will cross.

Julie's amazing necklace

Julie is having a giveway on her blog, in honor of this friendship - a wonderful handmade necklace! I know that some of you will pop over here as a result of her wonderul giveaway, but if you are here by chance or choice, go visit and get signed up. I love her pieces, and the necklace is no exception! And while your at it, go visit Tammy too. We all love comments and new blogs to visit.

hugs- Lee

How lucky you are to have such a friend! We all need that one person who really 'gets' us, one who when she talks, we know she has our best interests at heart and we can really trust her. Moving is hard, but you will soon consider your new place 'home'. Blogging friends never move far from each other! Best of luck! uffda_68787@yahoo.com

Hang in there Lee! Moving is a real pain, I just finished up packing and sorting in AZ. Everything is safely in SC in storage! I know my goodies are safe just can't get to them LOL! Isn't it wonderful to have friends like that??

Your friend is 'a friend that loves at all times'. What a sweet blessing. I understand how you may be feeling about your move, uprooting, packing, relocating, can be draining. We moved from our hometown of 38 years to be near our kids and grands a year and a half ago. It's been quite an adventure, some ups and downs. But it has been rewarding in many ways. Wherever you go, you and your family are your home and you will make it that. Many Blessings on your new adventure. Remember your old friends are just a phone call away.

What a great story of friendship. I met my best friend through blogging when we were both adopting our daughters from Guatemala. Blogging has blessed me with the best friend I could EVER hope for and so many wonderful women that I can now call my friends.

You are very lucky to have a wonderful friend. I can sure sympathise with you on the moving part. We just made a major move. Gave up our dream home..view of water,1 1/3 acre. We downsized. Now we have a lot with houses all around us. Then just 2 wks ago city council ruled a collective rd go right in front of our home. So big fight over that. Oh and I havent gotten things back in order yet besides the yard. Oh I have wrote a book. Maybe it looks bleak now but the move will be alright. Best of luck. Sally

Hi Lee. I hope your move turns into a wonderful new blessing in your life book. If having friends who truly care and only want to be supportive of you is important to you like it is to me, than please consider me a new friend. I wish only the best for you.
Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs...Tracy

Hang in there, moving can be awful but you will soon get settled in your new home. I have just moved around the world, from South Africa to England and that was dreadful. Have been here seven months and my stuff is finally coming over and out of storage and I am starting to feel settled.

Lee, I left you a message on the post above, but in case you don't see it for some reason, I'm wishing you well. I spent some time in Maine a few summers ago, and I have to say that the people were so warm and wonderful. I hope it will end up being a move that will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams and that you will end up loving it and finding lifelong friends there. Be blessed!

XO,

Sheila :-)

P.S. I have moved, too, and know the stresses involved.

Just stopping by to say good luck with your move (we did that last year and will again next year). It sounds like you have such absolutely wonderful blog friends...they are some of the best kinds, aren't they? :-)

Isn't blogland wonderful for making new friends! I was bit by a rattlesnake this summer and it was amazing how my new friends were there for me to encourage and pray me through a very scary time!

Praying you will get all your move out of the way and you will be settled quickly! Have to look at it like a new adventure!
