So, ALL of you email me with your choice of roses or tags from the shop and we'll get them right out to you! If you should choose the same rose, the rose will go to the person by the order of replies.
Thank you!!

It's CONTEST Time
Ok gals- here we go-
head on over to Lollishops. Hit the front page, look at it, browse around. Check out the listings, the vendor directory, and the different categories.
Then, come back here. Leave me a comment that addresses the following:
1. how easy/hard was it to navigate the site? Could you go back and forth between categories? Sites? If you bought something, how was the transaction?
2. did you find it user friendly, or frustrating? Specifics, please!
3. What did you like the most about the site?
4. What did you not like about the site?
5. What did you think about the site, overall?
You will be entered into a drawing for a choice of rose pins or manila tag packs. I will draw the names next Friday. I'm hoping that your comments will point both myself and the site in a better direction to serve you.
**If you BUY something, you get an extra entry for every item!**
Many thanks and HUGS- Lee

Cabinet Cards
I love cabinet cards. I was in a buying frenzy a few months ago, and I acquired quite a few. I am just now getting around to scanning them. Look at this young woman. Doesn't she remind you of a school teacher? And what's that near the top of her dress?
It's really amazing when you think of it- all of these people are long gone. But there images are frozen forever in time. Look at her dress- can you see all of the amazing details? And her hair, so full and thick and luxurious. I'm sure that someone in her life loved that shiny hair.
I often wonder who they were. Did they laugh and cry about the same things we do? The images are often so severe, it's hard to imagine any of them laughing. Did this couple love each other passionately? Laugh in bed about silly things? Argue about money? Kids?
Feel free to copy the images and use them in your art. Make up your own stories about them and give them life. I'd love to see what you do with them. I have a lot more that will show up on my Flickr site soon.
hugs, Lee
AT LAST!
Yesterday I had to work. Each of the recovery rooms has a small television, and every eye in the place was riveted on the inauguration. As I walked down the hall, I could hear President Obama's voice echoing- as we had 2 different channels on and there was a slight difference in timing. The effect was truly amazing.
President Obama has a lot on his plate- the economy, wars, gas and oil prices, healthcare, etc. It is our duty, as Americans, to get up and do everything we can to help President Obama and ourselves. It will be a time of hard work and great rewards. But we can- YES WE CAN.

Like It?
Do you like the new banner? I was being extremely lazy by writing out the title. I didn't feel like fooling with the printer. I guess I could have stamped it, but that require even more fooling around!
It finally snowed here today. There is actually accumulation on the ground. It's been a very weird winter here- way too warm. (No, this isn't my yard).
The kids are watching Transformer- the movie. It it scratched as heck- thank you, kids- but barely watchable. They don't care. They just like the end, anyway.
We're having pizza for dinner. Hubby is out of town, and I don't feel like cooking. Go figure.
We're contemplating a move to Maine. It's were Chris grew up. It's really hard to look at properties online. Some of the stuff out there is such junk... it's amazing.
Anyway, if any of you out there are any where near Auburn, let me know. We may become your neighbors.

Valentine Swap Goodies
I know I've mentioned this before, but awhile ago I joined the Paper Digital Arts and Images site, run by Kim Newberger. It's a great place for free collage sheets, images, and tons of fun challenges and conversations on the forum. (GO JOIN- it's free)
This months challenge, of course, was for Valentine's cards. I received mine early, and was blown away by my gift! It was done for me by the formidable artist, Kenning Stone.
First, I received an amazing, hand decorated envelope. It's thick with decoupaged papers and hand drawn swirls.
Inside was this card. It has cool dangly things on it, in wonderful colors, with sweet words hand written on them. The large heart is elevated off the card, giving it depth. The little wand thing in the middle moves back and forth, moving the charms. I lvoe the colors, becaue they aren't too light and pink. The deeper shades of rosey red are very romantic. There are also little swipes of silver leaf in spots.
Second was this Wild Earth card, inside another hand-decorated envelope. Kenning, aka Lydia, took an amazing amount of time for this project. I love it, thank you!!
My partner's card it half-way done. I'll be sure to post a glimpse, once it's finished.
******************************************************
I'm also doing a Valentine ornament swap with a bunch of girls, hosted by Natalea Kanderfer at Kandeland. I don't want to give too much away, but here's a little sneak peek of what my swap sistahs are going to get from me.
